Pasiphae

The daughter of Helios and of the Oceanid Perse, and wife of Minos. With him she had four children, Ariadne, Phaedra, Glaucus, and Androgeus. She became enamoured of a bull sent by Poseidon to Minos and begged Daedalus to build for her a wooden cow in order that she could be enclosed in it and thus have relations with the bull. Her wish was fulfilled and as a result she became the mother of the Minotaur. [p.74]
